Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-05-16

Anchor at Punta Tosca, Winds: NW 5 -8 knots sometimes gust around 11 knots, Seas: NW 4-8 ft long period of swell outside of the bay.

Yesterday we finished our diving day at Roca with a nice dive, some silky sharks at the north side, some white tips sharks, and a school of bonitos. Visibility was around 15 mts and the water temp around 23°C. Once we finished with our dives we picked up the anchor and we headed to Socorro Island, Punta Tosca. Today in our 1st Dive we encountered 4 mantas at the 3rd finger of the Punta Tosca and at the end 1 turtle. The 2nd dive was ok, kind of slow, we encountered 2 mantas and 1 group could see Tiger sharks but it was kind of away from them. Unfortunately, the visibility decreased and the current was moderated heading to the West. We are going to perform another dive and then we are going to pick up the anchor to perform the Navy Inspection
