Captain’s Noon Reports – Undersea – 2023-05-17

NUS Anchored at 18°46.4N-111°02.4W, in 105ft depth, in Punta Tosca, Socorro Island. The wind with a pleasant breeze of 5 knots from the NW and a swell of 6ft long period out of the bay. The sky is partly cloudy at 40%, air temp 76F.

Two dives were done this morning, with visibility 30/40ft and improving with a strong SE current that came in during the second dive. 1 manta on two dives, a school of 40+ hammerheads seen by a group of divers, many jacks, and turtles on the surface. One more dive and do the inspection with the Navy.  Yesterday afternoon in dive 3 two different whale sharks were seen in Roca Partida.
