Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-01

Anchor at Cabo Pearce, Winds: N 15 -17 kts sometimes gust around 20 knots, Seas: NW 1-3ft long period of swell.

Yesterday after the last dive in Tosca we sailed to the navy to perform the Radio inspection and then we dropped the anchor at Pearce and spent the night at anchor here.

Today our dives have been really good. The 1st dive was pretty I would say kind of calm, with a couple of mantas around, a school of jacks fish, and 1 hammerhead. The visibility is very good, and the current is very light to the S. The 2nd dive was amazing, we encountered 4 mantas and 4 dolphins which were very friendly. A couple of groups saw 5 hammerheads but Juan David’s group encountered a school of hammerheads, there were around 40 of them.

The conditions were good, we are going to perform 2 dives and then move to San Benedicto to dive the Canyon tomorrow morning.
