Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-06

Anchor at San Benedicto, Boiler, Winds: N 4 -6 kts sometimes gust around 7 knots, Seas: NW 4-6ft long period of swell.

We arrived at San Benedicto at 0045, spent the night at anchor, and in the morning, we started with our warm-up dive.

The dive conditions at Fondeadero were not good, the visibility was around 14 ft, and after we finished with the dive, we moved to the Boiler to perform the 2nd dive. The weather conditions are ok today, we have light wind from NW and just sometimes the swell is kind of challenging at the platform but very workable.

Our guests encountered around 4 different mantas and around 4 hammerheads at the West of the rock. The dive conditions were not the best but at least is much better than the Fondeadero. The visibility is around 30 ft, very light current from the N. We are going to perform 2 dives more and then move to Canyon for dinner there.
