Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-06-07

Good afternoon, all.

NEX anchored at San Benedicto, 50 ft depth, 2 shots paid out, arrived here last night and this morning started with our check dive.

All divers did good but there was low visibility. However, most of them saw 2 mantas passing by and scattered white tips. Dive number 2 was at the Canyon. Visibility improved and this dive was much better, cleaning station was full of sharks, and also 2 very friendly mantas stayed with the dives all throughout. The cherry on the cake for some was a tiger shark.

Visibility was around 15 meters and the water temperature was cool. Dive number 3 is about to start and there will be a 4th. We will stay here for dinner and dive Boiler tomorrow.
