Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-09

Anchor at Cabo Pearce, Winds: N 12 -14 kts sometimes gust around 17 knots, Seas: NW 1-3 ft long period of swell.

Yesterday, the last dive in Roca was really nice. We dove with a school of cottonmouth jacks, a lot of cureles,  around 7 silkies sharks and a lot of tuna. The visibility was around 20 mts and the current was moderate N–>S.

After dinner, we started our way to Socorro Cabo Pearce. We arrived at 0630. The 1st dive was nice, we encountered 2 mantas and the 3 hammerheads at the cleaning station. The visibility was good around 30 mts and the current was very light to the S. The 2nd was very nice as well, 2 mantas were there around our divers, 1 Galapagos shark and a lot of octopuses there. We listened to the dolphin but we were not able to see them in the water.

2 more dives and then we are going to move to San Benedicto to dive the Canyon.
