Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-06-09

NGL is currently in the bay of La Paz. The wind is light from the NE, the seas less than 1′, sky clear. Air temp 29C. Water temp 25C at the surface.

Started this morning from Ensenada de los Muertos where there were loads of jumping mobulas.  When we set out at 0630 for the morning, it was mobula madness all around. Guests got in the water fairly quickly with a big school and stayed with them for about an hour. Visibility was low though, with green water around 9m visibility. Then searched a little further north up into la Ventana and didn’t find anything so guests came back and we’ve been searching from Gallant Lady since. Just spotted a small whale of some kind and waiting now to see what kind it might have been. We will search the rest of the afternoon here before we start making our way back south for the overnight run to Cabo tonight.
