Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-06-11

Good afternoon, everyone. Anchor at Canyon, Wind 16-18 NW, gust plus around 20, inside the bay is calm with some long swell 1-3 from the west.

In the morning we arrived at Boiler and did one dive. It was very well with many mantas around, a pod of dolphins playing around the divers, lots of fish around the reef, and much sea action. The wind was increasing and the swell did not help, crew struggled a lot on the first dive in the Boiler to get on board the guests on the skiff.

We did one dive and came to the canyon. The second dive at the canyon was really good too, the guests saw mantas too, lots of sharks in the cleaning station, more than 6 hammerheads, and many kinds of different fishes.

The water temp was 24 C, vis 20-25 M in the first dive and in the second dive same water temp but vis decreased to 15-20 m, light current from the west.
