Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-14

Anchor at San Benedicto, Fondeadero, Winds: N  7-10 kts sometimes gust around 15 knots, Seas: NW 1-3 ft long period of swell.

We arrived at San Benedicto at 0000, and we spent the night at anchor. In the morning we started with our warm-up dive. All our divers did a good job in the warm-up dive, we did not have any issues or problems with them, just a couple of them adjusted again their weight bells. The dive conditions at Fondeadero were ok, the visibility was around 15 mts but we encountered some dolphins and a tiger shark here at Fondeadero.

On the 2nd dive, we dove with some chevron mantas, 2 hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and some white tips sharks. We listened but we could not see them again below the water. The visibility was around 13 mts and the current was light heading to the NE. We are going to perform 2 dives more and after dinner, we are going to move to Tosca.
