Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-06-18

Anchor at San Benedicto, Boiler, Winds: N 2 -3 kts sometimes gust around 5 knots, Seas: NW 1-3 ft long period of swell.

Yesterday we finished the day in Roca with a very nice dive. We had a couple of minutes with a whale shark and then he continued on his way. We also saw some silver tips present in the north and a couple of silky sharks. Visibility was good around 30 Mts. After we finished we picked up the anchor and we started our way to Boiler.

We arrived at San Benedicto at 0600, the weather condition at the Boiler is really good, the visibility is around 20 mts, and there is no current. We performed 2 dives and in both, we encountered some mantas. I would say 4 of them, 3 chevrons and 1 black, 1 big octopus, some white tip sharks, a school of jacks, and a huge Galapagos shark. Maybe if the condition allows us we can try to dive the north point.
