Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-06-20

Explorer underway from San Benedicto to Cabo. Beautiful weather for the transit, light breeze from the WNW and NW, swell around 3-5′, mostly clear sky.

We finished yesterday afternoon at the Canyon and had two amazing dives, especially the dive after lunch. The cleaning station was full of different sharks, including 3 different Tiger sharks (a big momma and a couple medium-sized), as well as what looked like a great hammerhead, some scalloped hammers, Galapagos, silver-tips, silkies, and black-tipped reef shark. A couple of giant mantas also came by to say goodbye on the last dive. Incredible dives to finish the trip and the guests were so excited afterward.

The water temp was 25C at the Canyon and viz was pretty good around 50-60ft. We got underway just before 2300hrs last night and have an eta of around 2330hrs tonight to anchor in Cabo Bay. Tomorrow morning we’ll move into the marina at 0800.
