Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Under Sea โ€“ 2023-07-14

NUS is south of Cerralvo today. Wind SE 10-15kts with 2′ seas, sunny, 33C. Did a night dive last night and a few mobulas showed up at the end but the water was very green there. A good dive nonetheless. This morning, we went looking for mobulas again around Punta Arenas and Bahia de los Suenos. The plane could see a school underwater but we couldn’t get on them again, so no mobula encounters today, apart from some brief glimpses of a small school of 20 or so a couple of times. Now we are searching heading SE of Punta arenas, offshore for now then will move in along the coast near la Ribera/Los Bareilles for the afternoon to see if we can find any mobulas in that area.
