Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-07-16

Anchor at La Reyna, Canyon, Winds: E 8 -10 kts sometimes gust around 13 knots, Seas: NW 1-2 ft long period of swell.

Yesterday we departed from Cabo at 2030. After we secured the Ship, we started with the Passenger drill and the Captain briefing, no issues with anything and all our guests were excited about this trip.

Today we arrived at La Reynita at 0930 hrs. We started the day with the continental breakfast and then at 0700 hrs, we performed the dive safety briefing. We got the airplane flying close to us and our guests could watch it. We did our warm-up dive at La Reynita without issues and then we moved to La Reyna. The airplane sent us the coordinates of a pod of dolphins but after the 1st dive we were not able to find them but at least we tried hard. At this moment we are diving La Reyna, we are going to another dive and then we are going to Sail directly to Bahia de Los Angeles. The plan is to look for marine life with the airplane very close from Mulege approx 30 miles north of Loreto.
