Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-08-02

N24.29.1 W110.23.8, clear blue sky, light breeze SW, calm seas, temp 35C, water temp 29C, visibility 10-15mts, NGL is at la Ballina, west side Espiritu Santo.

Yesterday guests arrived at 1900 from Cabo San Lucas. We had them settled down and having dinner by 1930 while watching the safety video and receiving a welcome briefing. After dinner, we did the lifejacket drill and left the marina at 2030.

This morning we did a dive safety briefing and everybody set up their gear. We jumped in the water for the first dive at 0930. Easy check-up dive from the back of NGL. The water is warm, visibility is good and there were lots of different fish around. All guests were doing good in the water except Rudolph. He is the father of a family of 4 that have just done their open water. He went back in the water 1 on 1 with Stein after the first dive and felt more comfortable going on with the day. The next dives will be at the shipwrecks.
