Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-08-25

09.23.024N – 84.09.927W, anchor in 80Ft of water in front of Manuel Antonio National Park.

We arrived here this morning, it was cloudy but is turning out to be a good sunny day, still clouds in the sky but lots of sun, air today is 86F, light SW breeze, long 3Ft SW waves. Fiber glass pangas unhappy with this swell, but manageable.

We took guests out for a land tour in a private farm with coffee plantation birds and a lot more. We had to go somewhere else to land as the big swell is breaking wild on the shoreline but the Naturalist Guide knew a place that is nice and calm. That is where we disembarked guests. They liked the land trip and now they are getting ready for the first dive of the day. There are some options for the dive but visibility looks a little poor from the surface, we will see how the dive goes.
