Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-08-25

Gallant Lady is at La Reina, beautiful day with a light sultry breeze, 1′ seas, clear skies, air temp 35C.

Two dives completed here this morning and both excellent dives, the highlight being the huge school of swirling skipjacks on both dives. So huge, it was mistaken for an underwater pinnacle before getting close enough to realize it was a mass of thousands of fish. Also, turtles, morays and another big school of machetes (Cortez Barracuda). Conditions are perfect. Water temp 29C, viz 80ft plus, current very mild.

Now we are picking up the anchor and heading to finish the trip at Salvatierra and Suwannee
this afternoon.
