Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-08-29

NBA diving Isla Carmen today. Another beautiful day. Max 5-10kts from the SE, mostly sunny, air temp 35C.

We had another delicious taco night last night under the stars anchored at the south end of beautiful Isla Carmen followed by a quiet and restful night at anchor. This morning we started diving at the south end of the island, working our way up the west coast, diving the Abyss, Picocho and Piedra Blanca. All great dives with lots of fish life, including a sea-horse on the first dive, black coral, Cortez Angels and schools of sergeant majors, silver-sides and jacks. Viz has been 25m plus and water temp 29C. Doing one more dive here at Piedra Blanca to finish the day then we’ll cruise up to Coronados to anchor for the night.
The fast boat and a panga from BEX are booked for the last day in the afternoon to dive Salvatierra and Suwanee.
