Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-08-31

Belle is at Las Animas today. Overcast with isolated showers, some lightning just now, Wind SE 5-10kts. Air temp 32C.

We had a great day at Coronado yesterday and a comfy overnight transit, arriving around 0600. We’ve completed two dives here at Las Animas so far, both excellent dives, with hammerheads spotted on both dives this morning. People saw small groups of 3 to 6 hammerheads on the first dive, and a bigger school on dive 2 although they were staying deep. Also, lots of playful sealions as always here, turtles and lots of jacks, snappers and groupers.

Viz around 15-20m due to the rainy and overcast conditions, water temp 29C.

Tomorrow is last day of diving and we’ll be doing La Reina in the morning and meeting BEX boats after lunch to finish at Salvatierra and Suwanee.
