Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-09-05

Belle Amie diving Isla Coronado today in Loreto. It’s been a beautiful day, light Northerly wind, 1′ seas, mostly clear skies. Air temp 34C.

We had a great day yesterday at Las Animas with hammerheads, sealions and even some dolphins on the last dive for some on their safety stop. Followed that up with our famous Taco night for a pretty epic day. Easy cruise overnight up to Loreto and 3 dives here at Coronado today.

Diving today here was also really good. Nice conditions here today, current was mild to moderate, viz 20m, water temp 29C. I think Coronado is one of the best places to see eagle rays and today was no exception, with most divers spotting at least a couple, plus several turtles around, sealions and lots of snappers, grouper and jacks around the points.

As soon as dive 3 ended we got underway and are now heading the 147nm to San Pedro Martir with an eta of 0730 tomorrow morning. We’ll do 4 dives there tomorrow and go for a walk ashore between dives.
