Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-09-19

5.32.704N – 87.03.939W. Today we are anchored in Wafer Bay anchor resting in 85Ft of water.

From here we are diving Punta Maria and Dirty Rock, both sites very nice, loads of fish including a wahoo in the safety stop. Dirty Rock is the one delivering the most action, Galapagos sharks have taken the cleaning station that usually works for the hammerheads. In Punta Maria today, we had several Marble rays.

Back in Dirty the current was moderate in the morning but easy on the second dive. A select group of divers, the ones with eyes wide open, got to see the tiger sharks in dirty rock, hammerheads come and go. The horse eyed jacks are away from the rock and close to the surface. Guests are happy with the dives, they also enjoyed our taco night. Today water visibility averages 80Ft, water and air temperature are 84F, outside and because of the rain and little wind it feels cold. Cloudy skies, flat ocean in Wafer Bay.
