Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-10-16

NGL is in Bahia de Los Angeles

Clear blue sky, air temp 32C, no wind in anchorage. Water temp 27C, visibility 5meters.

All the guests just came back from snorkeling with the whale sharks. They had an amazing time snorkeling with 2 different sharks, about 15ft and 20ft long. They are very impressed by the size of the animal, its majestic movements, the white dots like constellation on its back and the big remoras swimming alongside. They will all repeat this afternoon hoping for more encounters.

After the whale shark activity we will offer a night dive in the bay and then head for SanPedroMartyr Yesterday afternoon we did 1 more dive at Faro OesteSanMarcos, waiting for the wind to drop and the seas to calm down. At 2000 we were able to lift anchor and start our sail up north. First 2 hours were rough but then the conditions improved a lot and the rest of the night was relatively smooth.
