Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-11-05

Good afternoon, NEX anchored in Cabo Pearce, 115 FT depth, 3 shots paid out, Northerly wind, 10-15 kts, gusting up to 18 kts, and 2-4 ft seas, same direction.

Yesterday, after our last dive at Punta Tosca, we went to the Navy Base and had our inspection and when we finished, we made way to Cabo Pearce.

We have done 2 great dives here and number 3 is being done in this moment. First dive in the morning was excellent, our guests had the chance to dive with a pod of dolphins, they stayed for a while, also, at least 6 different mantas were on scene.

Dive 2 was also pretty good; mantas continue showing up and making our guests happy. Lots of reef fish, octopus, lobsters, and a few juvenile silky sharks were spotted during dives. Dive conditions were good, viz was around 15-20 meters and temperature were 29 Celsius degrees. We will have dinner here and after that we will go to San Benedicto and dive the Boiler.
