Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-11-06

Good afternoon, NEX anchored at San Benedicto, west side, diving Boiler, 115 ft depth, 3 shots paid out, cloudy sky, light wind from north, and 3 ft seas.

We arrived this morning and so far we have done 2 epic dives. Since we dropped the anchor we did see a few mantas passing by the boat. Once divers got in to the water action got better. A big school of dolphins was there and stayed with our guests most of the dive, lots of mantas, baby white tip sharks and one giant of the sea, yes, a whale shark showed up to make our guests happier.

Dive number 2 was exactly the same, only thing that was not there was the whale shark, guests again surfaced super happy. We did a skiff tour that our guests enjoyed a lot. During the ride we saw 3 mantas and a turtle, landscape is beautiful and rock formations are impressive. We are starting dive number 3 and there will be a 4th, dive conditions are good, Viz 15-20 meters, water temperature 29 Celsius and light current from North.Plan for the rest of the day is to complete our 4 dives, have our cheese and wine on sundeck and we will heave up anchor at 2300.
