Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-11-11

Hi everyone, NEX is Anchored in Cabo Pearce, 110 ft depth, 3 shots paid out, NE wind 15 kts, same direction seas 3 ft, sky covered, rain around.

We finished yesterday in the Canyon, the action was non-stopping, and mantas and tiger sharks made the dive fantastic.

Arrived here this morning and we have done 2 dives, number 3 just started. Dives had been great, fantastic dives, lots of mantas, also a few hammerheads, some scattered tuna fish, white tips sharks, and lots of reef fish. We are going to do a 4th dive and after that, we will move to Punta Tosca.

The water temperature is 26 Celsius and viz 15 meters, The current during the first dive was pretty strong but it has been decreasing. During dive 1 we noticed that a group of divers went to the outer cleaning station, I talked to the dive guides and gave them a friendly reminder on how we dive Cabo Pearce and the 1/3 rule.
