Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2023-11-17

Today NGL is diving around Isla Margarita for our last day of the current Mag Bay trip. Wind is westerly 15-18kts with westerly 4-5′ seas, sky partly cloudy, air temp 26C. Wind was calm most of the morning and has just picked up in the last hour.

We’ve done two dives at the submarine which were very good, now heading to south end of the island to get out of the weather and do a 3rd and final dive before heading back to Cabo overnight.

Yesterday the pangas took the guests in around the mangroves and sand dunes in the morning, they had a nice time and even got to eat some fresh Almejas Chocolatas with lime and salsa on the beach. One guest went for a snorkel around the mangroves.

After that the airplane reported whales just outside of the entrance to the bay so we all headed outside to go whale watching. The pangas found the whales and all guests had a great encounter with a couple of very calm humpbacks. Guests and crew are doing well.
