Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-11-18

Good afternoon, all, NEX anchored in San Benedicto, 50 ft depth, 1.5 shots paid out, northerly wind 12-15 kts, visibility 25 meters, water temperature 28 Celsius.

We arrived here last night and started our operations early in the morning, check dive was done from dive platform, all divers did pretty good, no buoyancy or gear issues.

During this dive our divers got the chance to see a few white tips, lobsters and 2 mantas and lots of reef fish. Dive 2 was done in the Canyon and it was a mantastic dive, mantas all over the place under water and on the surface. These mantas stayed with our divers for the entire dive. Also a few hammerheads showed, silvertips, white tips were there too.

We, we have 2 more dives to do here and after dinner we will heave up anchor and will move the boat to Socorro and dive Cabo Pearce tomorrow.
