Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-11-27

19.19.673N – 110.48.888W, anchor resting in 123ft of water, beautiful day, light NW breeze, very long period NW swell, air temperature is 82f, the ocean is nice today Belle sits still in the water.

We did the check dive in Leather Bass Alley. The dive went well visibility was 30ft lots of silt in the water, few white tip reef sharks, and loads of reef fish. Guests were excited with the amount and size of the lobsters.

As soon as we had all guests onboard we moved the boat to the Boiler looking for better dive conditions and action. The surge is still around and on the island, you see how the waves make a huge splash when they break on the rocks. There is a layer on the first 20ft or so of murky water but at deeper depth, visibility is 50ft.

Guests were impressed with the action some say they saw four mantas Dive guide STEIN says there were three different individuals also. Most of the divers saw one, others saw two hammerheads, loads of fish around this underwater pinnacle. Water temperature is 84f no current easy dive.
