Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-11-30

Good afternoon, everyone, NEX anchored in Cabo Pearce, 100 ft depth, 2.5 shots paid out, wind from NE 15 kts, we have 3 ft seas inside the lava finger and choppy seas out of the finger.

We arrived here last night and our guest had a good rest. We started diving at 0700 and dive number 1 was great, lots and lots of mantas. I was also watching them on the surface while driving the skiff, and when it was time to pick up divers, every one of them was extremely happy. They were saying that diving can’t get better.

They were wrong, for dive number 2, lots of manta action, hammerheads, white tips, octopus, and a small pod of dolphins, all divers surfaced cheering. Let’s see what Mother Nature will give us for dive number 3.

There will be a 4th dive and after dinner, we will heave up anchor and head back to Cabo. Dive conditions are good, viz 20-25 meters, and the water temperature is 29 Celsius
