Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-12-04

Good afternoon, everyone, NEX anchored at San Benedicto, NE wind, 15-20 kts, and 3-4 ft wrapping swell. We arrived here last night, and the wind was strong and current as well, the boat was rolling but the guests did get a good rest.

We started our operations this morning, we did our check dive in Fondeadero and all went well, no issues with divers during this dive. We saw a manta in the distance, many white tips, lobsters, Cotton mouth jacks, also a few silkies.

Dive numbers 2 and 3 were done in the Canyon, The action was much better, our guests saw hammerheads, Galapagos, lots of white tips, a huge tuna fish, lobsters, and the usual reef fish. We have one more dive to do here.

We will have dinner on the hook and will wait for NBA. Viz was 15 meters and the water temperature was 28 Celsius.

We might change our VP and if that happens, we will dive the Boiler tomorrow.
