Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2023-12-13

Good afternoon, NEX anchored in Roca Partida, depth 240 ft, 4.5 shots paid out, windy and cloudy day, NE wind 15-18 kts and 3 ft seas same direction.

We ended our day yesterday in Boiler, The dive was awesome in San Ben yesterday, last 2 dives we saw mantas and lots of sharks, many white tips there, more than usual, all guests had a good day.

We arrived here this morning and dive 1 was quiet, lots of fish, white tips, jacks, and lobsters but guests were impressed with the rock.

For dive number 2 things were different, a huge pod of dolphins was there waiting for our divers, and dolphins stayed with them for the entire dive, Pascal said that more than 40 dolphins were there, also a manta and a sea lion, including whitetips and silky sharks. The plan was to do 2 more dives here and move to Socorro after dinner.
