Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-12-13

19.17.757N – 110.48.628 diving the lava flow in San Benedicto.

In the first dive, we did the BOILER and the dive was okay not exciting but okay. The thing is the current was wild it was running to the south some of the guests got scared and did not want to go on the second dive even though we came to a sheltered place.

They needed a break after such a hard dive. Guides say the current was so strong it created a VORTEX sucking you down to the depth.

Anyway, the second dive in the lava flow was a lot more relaxed with mantas, white tips, turtles, and a huge tiger shark. Visibility averages 60ft, today the wind is doing 12kts NE, long 3ft NE swell, air temperature is 80, ocean is 79f in second dive current was light. Robert the non-diver went kayaking this morning.
