Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2023-12-14

WX: Wind 10 to 12 kts NE, waves 2 ft NNE. We are in Cape Pierce, we arrived at 1:40 pm, and we are sharing the spot with Quino El Guardian.

Yesterday afternoon we moved after the third dive to the navy base to do the inspection, after that, we anchored in front of Bahia Braulia to do there the dive day 4.

Before the first dive one of our dive guides jumped into the water to try the current conditions, there was no current, t° = 26 C, good visibility above 60 ft, and very good spot and sea life.

The first dive was good at the beginning, it was a manta around and 5 hammerheads, but by the end of the dive, the current started to rise quite strong with SSW direction. For this reason, I decided to pick up the anchor and move back to Cape Pierce for the next dive.

For tomorrow I planned to do the Boiler but I am considering doing the last day of diving at Punta Tosca (reported good today), as today San Benedicto was reported with a very strong current.
