Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2023-12-22

18.59.514N – 112.04.883W, anchor in RocaPartida, anchor rests in 245ft, weather is nice today, long 8ft NE swell, air temperature is 82f, water is the same, visibility today averages 60ft, the current was running to the north in the first dive then shifted to the SE for the second dive.

The first dive was pretty amazing they say, with loads of sharks on the north side of the island. A manta deep down dolphins and all the usual cast of fish, guests like the wahoos in safety stop. The second dive was not exciting but good, dolphins showed up again, manta cruised by many of the fish ran down to the deeper waters. Yesterday in the last dive diver saw most of what Socorro Island has to offer, hammerheads, tiger sharks, mantas, dolphins, and all sorts of other sharks.
