Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2023-12-28

Good afternoon all, NUS anchored in San Benedicto, Northerly wind 10 kts and 2 ft wrapping swell in Fondeadero.

We arrived last night and started our activities this morning with the check dive, no issues. All guests managed their buoyancy and there were no problems with their gear. During the check dive, our guests saw 3 mantas, Galapagos sharks, white tips sharks, lobsters, moray eels, and lots of fish.

For dive number 2 we moved to Boiler, we had a strong current there and no marine life. Therefore, we returned to this side of the island and had our third dive in the Canyon. It was a great dive, with lots of different species of sharks including 2 tigers, 3 or 4 mantas, and lots of reef fish.

All guests are happy, we will have another dive here and will give a try tomorrow to Boiler. viz was 15-20 meters and water temperature 26 Celsius.
