Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-01-01

Good afternoon, Nautilus Explorer at anchor in the Canyon,

Check dive with zero current and poor visibility.

WX: Wind: 0-5 Kts, Swell: Protected on the bay, but behind the west point is possible to see NW swell around 6-7´ long period, waves breaking on the shallows, the visibility was poor on the first and second dives, below 30´, warm water. 26-27 Celsius.

First dive, it was quiet, with some white tips and 4 dolphins at the end.
Second dive, got a little bit better, Silvertips, white tips, some big hammerheads, one chevron manta but not very close, school of jacks and Galapagos.

Pascal and Mayo said the visibility is getting better when arriving to the clean station and go deeper.
