Captainโ€™s Noon Reports โ€“ Belle Amie โ€“ 2024-01-02

Belle Amie is diving the Boiler today. Swell is still up a bit but much better, around 5-7, with 10-15kts of wind from the north as well has a choppy, confused sea around the dive site. Sky is mostly cloudy, air temp 27C, water temp 27C.

Due to the conditions, we anchored inside the bay behind the big rocks and using 3 inflatables to shuttle guests. We are diving here along today. Rocio was planning to come here but when we arrived this morning, they had changed their mind and went to Canyon.

Diving today here at the Boiler has been great, it’s really saved the trip for us. Lots of friendly mantas around on both morning dives, spending the entire dive with everyone, and lots of manta love. Also, a couple of hammerheads spotted and the Galapagos. One lone dolphin cruised by some of the divers on the second dive. The stars though have been the mantas.

We’re planning to stay here for the afternoon as well and then, we’ll head back to the Canyon for dinner before getting underway to Cabo. Viz is down around 15-20m at best, so not great but not an issue with the animal life.
