Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-01-06

Good afternoon all, NUS anchored in San Benedicto, diving the Boiler. We have northerly wind 15-20 kts and NNW seas of 4-6 ft, and wind seas on top of the swell that makes a little challenging getting on and off the skiff but nothing that we can’t handle.

Despite the weather conditions divers are having a great time, we have done 2 epic dives, lots of manta action and dolphins on the dive site, a few white tip reef sharks and some Galapagos in the distance, lobsters here and there, and the usual reef fish. Water temperature is 27 Celsius and viz is 15- 20 meters, depending on the side of the dive site.

Yesterday we ended our day in the Canyon, quiet dive for one of the groups but the other got to see a school of hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and silver tips.

Divers are doing fine and enjoying the day, we plan to finish the day here and after dinner heave up anchor and move over to RP.
