Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-01-10

Good afternoon

Explorer at anchor in Roca Partida, Weather, wind: 14-16 kts from N-NNE, Swell NNE 7-9 ft, current opposite to wave direction, positioning the vessel on a way that waves hit by the aft – quarters, making a little bit tricky to embark personnel into the skiffs,

Water conditions: Temp. 26° C, Vis. 20m, current: South to north moderate.

Good dives: 3 Chevron Mantas, one giant Mobula (Tarapacana), many white tips, silver tips, a few dolphins, and a Whale shark! (around 10 m length).
