Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-01-20

Good afternoon, NEX at anchor in Cabo Pierce

Current weather: Wind 5-10 kts NNE, Sea: 1-2’ NNE, Clear sky.
Underwater conditions: Medium current south to north, Reduced visibility (5-15 m), temp: 24 degrees Celsius.

Today’s dives 1st and 2nd: GOOD! ”Mantas everywhere,” said one of the guests when I picked her up on the tender finishing first diving. On that dive, there was an approximate amount of 4 mantas around, 1 black 3 chevrons, white tips, hammerhead school, an octopus, 2 tiger sharks. We are going for a third dive and then Navy base inspection.

Yesterday dive at Roca in the afternoon, they were good, still a few dolphins, lots of white tips, and jack school, the people heard a whale during the whole dive, we saw them from the boat, one – two miles away. Today we saw a whale splash too finishing the first diving when picking up guests in Cabo pierce…
