Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-01-23

Belle Amie anchored on the east side of Roca Partida today. Wind has been light from the north all morning with a long 4-7′ swell from the NW. Breeze is picking up a little bit now to around 10 kts and expecting 12-15kts this afternoon. Sky clear, air temp 27-28C.

Had a very popular taco night last night and a comfy overnight run from Boiler and have completed two dives here this morning so far. No other boats here today.

Diving has been good with some silver-tips around as well as some big tunas and schools of jacks, loads of white-tips cruising around. Some dolphins on the first dive but just a quick pass for a few people.

We had a humpback calf breaching about a mile away from the rock this morning as well as we were heading out for dive 2. Water temp 26C, viz 20m. Plan for tomorrow Punta Tosca and navy check-in.
