Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-01-24

NUS A anchored at 18°46.3N-110°54.3W in 105ft depth, the sky this morning was cloudy but now we have what appears to be a sunny day, air temperature 74°F, a very nice day with a pleasant breeze from the north of 5 knots and 2 ft waves outside of the reef.

This morning two dives were made with visibility of 80ft in the northern part and a little less visibility in the southern part of the reef, water temperature 77°F and with strong current towards the south in both dives.

But our mother nature cooperated very well this morning that the divers saw a school of more than a hundred hammerhead sharks, 8 mantas ray minimum, 3 dolphins by a group of divers and a tiger shark.

We are sharing the dive site with the boat Valentina. Our plan for tomorrow is San Benedicto Island and start in the Canyon and possible the Boiler if the conditions are good.
