Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-02-10

NUS Anchored at 18°59.1N-112°04.4W, in 240ft depth, Roca Partida. The sky is cloudy. Air temperature 71°F, the wind blows from the north 17kn, primary swell from the nw of 6ft and secondary swell 3ft from the north.

This morning two dives were made at Roca Partida, Visibility 40ft, water temperature 75°F and strong current to the southwest. On the first dive a few Dolphins, Silvertips, 1 black manta ray passed very deep and a juvenile sea lion. For the second dive a group saw few dolphins and a chevron manta that passed by at depth.

We are alone in Roca Partida. No other boats in the area.
