Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-02-11

Good afternoon everyone, NGL anchored in Danzante Island, N wind gusting to 25 kts and 1 -2 ft seas here in the anchorage.

We received our guests yesterday around 1730, we watched the safety video, had dinner and around 2100 we started to make way to Loreto are.

We arrived here at 0700 and began to search for whales, wind and seas were not that bad at that time, we were lucky and we got to see 10 different blue whales including a calf, most of our guests did see them. We continued looking for whales until 1130 aprox. and the we are anchored here since seas and wind picked up.

In  this moment guests went to the beach for a walk and kayaking and DG will give a presentation about whales at their return. Plan is to sleep here and tomorrow morning head south and continue looking for whales.
