Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-02-13

NEX at Anchor in Roca Partida,WX: wind 5-7 kts NNW, Sea: 3-4´, Cloudy.
Underwater conditions: Strong current from east to west, presence of vortex.

We got several divers caught in a vortex on the second dive, the vortex is still present. We delay the next dive to see if the conditions get better and will test it again at 3 pm. If conditions are ok, we will do a third dive.

Apart from the vortex the marine life down there was ok, lots of silvertips and white tips, school of jacks. We saw (on the surface) 3 whales jumping around 100 m away from the boat.
