Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2024-02-29

19.17.757N – 110.48.613W boat anchored in 55Ft of water diving The Canyon, today wind is been wild blowing a good 12 kts NE, gusting to 16kts, air temperature is 76F same as ocean, ocean is flat on this side of the island, current today is being a little weird, in first dive it was running to the east to then shifted to the west.

Sea life is good, so far they have seen mantas, schooling hammerheads more than 100 some say, cleaning station had loads of sharks, among them silver tips, Galapagos, white tip reef sharks and more.

BUT that hasn’t been the thing for the morning dives. As divers started to pop up they started to make a comment about the rumbling sound, some said a thunder like sound others explained they were close to the ground and felt how their body vibrated with the sound, they all say the fish went wild swimming in all direction with the sound….

What was it? We googled some and could not find any earthquake report in this area nor volcanic activity. But the word is out, we are far intrigued with this… cloudy skies.
