Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2024-02-29

NGL is around Danzante today. Wind is from the north 10kts, 1′ seas, clear skies, air temp 27C. Had a decent ride north from La Paz last night, a little bumpy for the first few hours until we got to San Jose channel then it was quite smooth the rest of the way.

Arrived to Danzante 0730 and guests headed out looking for Blue Whales at 0900, returning at almost 1330 happy with a great day of whale watching. A couple of Blue Whales around on the other side of Danzante, a young humpback and a pod of bottlenose dolphins.

I’m hearing there’s a big pod of orcas around somewhere between Loreto and La Paz so hoping to get lucky. Right now, we’re heading south to search outside of the park and then afternoon activities at Agua Verde.
