Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-03-08

Good afternoon, everyone. Vessel is currently anchored at Punta Tosca, STBD Anchor 3 Shackles in the water Depth 210ft. Yesterday Afternoon Dives were similar to the Morning and we departed Fondeadero at 2100.

This morning diving commenced at 0800 at Cabo Pearce. WX: Moderate to fresh breeze from the North, Moderate Seas, Calm at Vessel Anchorage. Partially cloudy sky, Air temp 22C although feels colder in the breeze. Sea Water temp 25C at depths below 15m Temp 23C. Surface Visibility Good and Sea water Vis 15m.

1st dive Guests saw 2 to 4 Mantas for each group, there was a large shoal of Hammerheads 1 extremely large Galapagos Shark with White Tips and Silver Tips fully in attendance throughout, Dolphins arrived towards the end.

2nd Dive, Guests saw Mantas, Hammerheads, White Tips and Silver Tips including a full array of Jacks.

Vessel left Cabo Pearce at 1230 and proceeded to Punta Tosca arriving at 1430. We expect to conduct our 3rd dive of the day shortly.
