Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-03-11

Good afternoon, everybody.  Vessel currently lying to STBD Anchor 1.5 Shackles in the water at Fondeadero whilst diving the Cañon.  Current WX: Gentle Breeze from the North, Broken Clouds, Cam Seas, No Swell. 

Air Temp 23C although feels like 26C, Sea Temp 24C but at depths below 15m 23C.  Sea Vis between 10 and 15m. 

Yesterday we completed our 4th dive at the Boiler, the final group seeing a shoal of hammerheads of a dozen or so. 

We arrived at Fondeadero at 1900 and this morning we started diving operations at 0800.  1st Dive, Groups saw White Tips, Silver Tips and a smaller shoal of Hammerheads.  1 Group managed to discover a Female Tiger Shark.  We added an additional dive for Guest Mitchell and Guest Alexia, they completed a dive with one of the Dive Guides and it went well. 

Second dive, although no Manta’s could be seen the Hammerheads are continuing to grow as the numbers have doubled. 

Guests are doing well, Guest Mitchell and Guest Alexia have both returned to the water.
