Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2024-03-16

Hello, good afternoon, all! NEX anchored in Roca Partida, 10-14 kts wind from the north, 4-6 ft NW seas with a long period, sky 4/8. We finished our day yesterday in San Benedicto and after dinner we started to make way to Roca as planned.

We arrived here this morning and had our first dive on time, it was a great dive , dolphins were everywhere, Galapagos sharks, white tips, silvertips, lobsters, octopus, tuna fish, Roca was full of life.

Dive number 2 was pretty much the same but now our guests saw a few wahoos too, dive conditions are good, light current from N to S, viz is 25 meters and water temperature is 23C, plan is to finish the day here and head for Socorro and dive Punta Tosca tomorrow.

No guests or crew issues. Our guests are in good spirits.
