Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2024-03-16

NUS Anchored at Latitude 18 46.6 N Longitude 111° 02.8 W in 130 ft depth, Pta. Tosca, Socorro Island in the morning, we have a cloudy day. wind from NW 6-8 kts. sea state in the anchorage area calm, outside long swell. Air Temperature 24°C.

This morning first dive was with very good visibility 18 mtrs. Water temperature 23°c, light current to the southwest, and long swell from NW. They saw two mantas one black and one chevron and saw just a small group Galapagos shark, reef fishes.

The second dive was much better and still good visibility they saw mantas and they were close to the divers, dolphins, some hammer sharks, Galapagos.
